Wappu is a magnificent and memorable time for all students. For students, it is Christmas, New Year’s Eve and birthday all wrapped into one. At the same time, the upcoming summer makes us look back at the past year and celebrate the end of the semester with fellow students.
At KY, Wappu is filled with various events and there is definitely something for everyone. This year KY’s volunteers' long-anticipated Wappu festivities span well over a week!
The Wappu celebrations culminate on the 30.4.–1.5., when we finally get to press the graduation caps on our heads alongside Havis Amanda. The Wappu Eve is full of spectacular events and KY arrives with style in a Wappu parade to watch Havis Amanda get its graduation cap. In the evening, everyone gathers at KY's Wappukuntis to Kaivohuone. After a night of partying, students head to Ullis to enjoy the celebration with friends all day long.
